3D-GRT is a software for seismic depth migration. Among the methods used for PSDM it is unique by two aspects. First, it generates angle gathers on a spatially densely sampled grid; second, the true-amplitude behaviour of this methodology is well understood, since reflection/scattering coefficients, respectively, can directly be read from the gathers. As a particular advantage for anisotropic media, 3D-GRT provides the full azimuthally-varying information content of seismic reflections to the interpretation geophysicist. Stacking the angle gathers provides high-quality all-ray-arrival images in complex geological settings for dips far beyond 90 degrees.

Fraunhofer ITWM is offering services with this highly parallelized software and sells licences for executing the software on client’s compute clusters.
